The U.S. company, Google, has announced that it will stop supporting Drive cloud storage on certain Windows computers this summer.
I reportedly decided when to support Drive on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 computers, along with the 32-bit version of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012.
She explained that as of next August, Drive will stop working on these operating systems, meaning that its users will no longer have access to their photos and files.
This step was reportedly anticipated, especially as Microsoft America long ago stopped support for its two operating systems: Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.
She noted that Windows 8.1 currently has a small market share, which is only 0.72% worldwide, while Windows 8 has a lower share of 0.37%.
Users of these systems, if they wish to continue accessing Drive, have been prompted to update their devices to Windows 10 or later.
