Means adding visual effects to Google Photos videos

Google, a new feature for Photos, has added visual effects to videos, including 12 new video effects based on various use case scenarios, including Dust Max, Black and White Film, Light Leak and more.

 

One of the most widely used Gallery apps in the Android ecosystem, Google Photos is the default application that offers a wide range of features such as cloud backup, and a wide range of photo and video editing options.

Apply new feature

The user can take advantage of the new feature by updating the Google Images app, after which they can find the new video effects under the New Effects tab within the editing interface, and once users select the Effects option, the image app then downloads the newly added effects and then allows users to apply them in the video they are currently editing.

 

The new feature is available on the latest version of Android, as well as on Android 14 Beta 3 and Android 13.

How to use

Google has shown users how to use the new feature, where the video playback controls are redesigned, with new video effects added, Google has updated the video playback controls to make things easier for users, and the image app has some new media playback buttons, in addition to the play and pause buttons, users will also see the forward and backward skip buttons in the interface.

 

Google has also removed the old floating box style and brought in a full screen view, this specific change applies not only to images, but also to other Google apps.
