Microsoft offers AI-powered tools in Bing and Edge to help you shop

Microsoft announced that it is bringing the magic of AI to improve the Bing search engine and AI chatbot experience on Edge, as the company announced a large number of new tools that will harness the power of AI to automatically generate buying evidence.

For example, if you’re going to be at a college and have no idea or less about what you want to shop before taking the next big step, simply type “College essentials” in the Bing search box, and the AI chatbot will return the buying evidence that tells us what you’re looking for.

Furthermore, it will also allow you to compare items side-by-side in a smart comparison table. Microsoft has announced that Bing’s buying evidence is available in the United States and will be released to other markets over time.

In addition, Buying Guides in Edge has begun to spread worldwide.

AI-powered reviews

Microsoft also launches AI-powered reviews and insights. If you are looking for a product, for example a high-productivity laptop, Bing Chat in the Edge and Bing sidebar will suggest areas to consider when shopping for laptops such as specifications, weight, battery and more.

When you choose a model for yourself, you can ask Bing Chat at Edge to summarize what people are saying about it online, rather than going through multiple and lengthy reviews. Review summaries are published worldwide.

Check price

The third tool being rolled out is price matching. So when you finally select your preferred laptop, Bing and Edge can help you find the best price and time to buy.

The company said: “Our Price Matching feature continues to work for you, even after purchase, by monitoring the price of the item and helping you request a match if it is low.”

This number will be available in the United States. Other tools such as price history, price comparison, vouchers, cashback, and package tracking are available in select markets and embedded in Edge.
