Steps to change your WhatsApp phone number
Without losing chats:
1- Open WhatsApp on your phone.
2. Go to Settings if you are an iPhone user.
3. For Android users, the settings menu can be accessed by clicking on the three-dot menu from the top right corner of the screen.
4- Tap the Account option and then tap Change Number.
5- You will now see a screen asking you to confirm if you can receive SMS or phone calls to your new number.
6. If you have confirmed , press the Next button, then enter your old and new numbers.
7- Click Next to move to the final stage of changing your WhatsApp number.
8- WhatsApp will now ask if you want your contacts notified of your new number.
You can choose from all the contacts, contacts I chat with, or custom numbers - who will be notified of the change, however, the app will automatically notify groups of your WhatsApp number change.
